I write The Long Commit, a newsletter about engineering careers in the age of AI. It covers the honest middle ground between hype and dismissal, where the tools are genuinely useful and also quietly changing what it means to build software for a living.

The themes I keep returning to: AI's real impact on engineering work, lessons that took too long to learn, and the human side of software that most technical content ignores.

Before this, I spent two decades shipping products, leading teams, making mistakes, and changing direction often enough to have opinions worth reading, because they were earned rather than borrowed.
